For our end of studies project, we decided to create a puzzle action-adventure game with a stylized artstyle inspired by Crash Bandicoot N'sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
Being a team of four developers, we each had multiple roles throughout the development of the game, initially having one programmer, two 3D modelers and a level designer, and later moving to other departments such as visual effects and sound design.
I was involved in designing and balancing the game, but my main roles on the project were modeling environmental props, building parts of the level, creating a multitude of particle effects and shaders, setting up post processing using Unity's Universal Render Pipeline, creating the intro cinematic, recording sound effects (Tongo and the enemies are voiced by me) & setting up the character tail physics to move dynamically.
I learned how to set up cinematics and efficiently work on various departments, aiding my colleages in their tasks whenever needed and providing solutions to arising problems. We achieved the desired visual artstyle we strived for and received a grade of distinction for our project.
